2020 BACIO 750 ml

White Wine

75% Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ynez, CA

25% Vernaccia, San Gimignano, Italy

100% Barrel Fermented in 100% new French Oak

Our Inauguarl Bacio is made from Sauvignon Blanc from Los Olivos in Santa Barbara County USA, and Vernaccia di San Gimignano from Campochiarenti Winery in Tuscany Italy. The wine is 100% natural with nothing added. It underwent weekly batonnage in California for the entire time in barrels. The blend is 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Vernaccia.

The Vernaccia was fermented at the winery at Campochiarenti where it also went thru extensive batonnage.  The Vernaccia was produced in stainless steel barrels that were made especially for this wine.  In May 2020 the wine was shipped to the United States in the same stainless steel barrels and was blended with the Sauvignon Blanc for Erich's new creation.

Our Bacio blend of California Sauvignon Blanc and Italian Vernaccia from Italy will be the first of its kind ever produced. This is currently Jojo Russell's favorite white wine while her new 2021 Chardonnay is fermenting in barrel! Even after the Chardonnay becomes available, Bacio will remain one of her favorite white wines. We can't wait for you to try this remarkable wine!
