Russell Brand

The Russell label has always been associated with our favorite Reserve wines. It was established in 1994, starting with a reserve Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Piemontese, Zinfandel, and Merlot. When we moved to Paso Robles, we paused the label while our newly planted vines matured, allowing us to create some exceptional wines once again. Around 2011, we began producing small batches of Russell Family Vineyards wines, mainly featuring Rhone varieties and some unique blends.

Since selling the vineyards in 2020, we now label our wines simply as Russell. We continue to produce unique and special wines in very small quantities, typically less than 60 cases. The wines crafted under this label are so exquisite that even if they don’t sell, we are happy to enjoy them ourselves.

We currently have three Russell Reserve wines in bottle: the 2023 OVZ (Old Vine Zinfandel), the 2023 JoJo Chardonnay, and a 2024 Viognier from a vineyard that was planted before 1900.
